In light of National Apprenticeship Week commencing Monday 8th February, we wanted to take a moment to talk about the dedicated and hardworking apprentices we have working for ACL and what we can offer to other like-minded individuals that would like to get into this industry.
2020 was a challenging time for all of us, but throughout the pandemic, we are proud to say that it has been a great year for our apprenticeship program. Working closely, with our excellent scheme provider, Skills for Security, we have enrolled a number of new apprentices onto a full three–year Fire and Security Apprenticeship, enabling them to gain valuable skills, knowledge and qualifications all whilst learning on the job.
At present, we have fifteen apprentices enrolled and we are going to continue building on this in 2021 and beyond. We are committed to investing in the next generation of highly skilled and specialist engineers, instilling our core values and helping some talented individuals find their path and reach their full potential.
This year has seen the apprentices carrying out their classroom sessions and assessments online, whilst also working on-site and adapting to various COVID-19 restrictions. We would like to take this as an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of these individuals, learning a new trade in the current climate is challenging but they have been doing an amazing job. They are a credit to the team and we are incredibly proud of them all.
If you are interested in learning a new trade and earning whilst doing so, head over to our Apprentices page, here you will find more details about our apprentice positions and the opportunity to apply to our scheme directly.
